Global Gateway

Traditionally, May 1st is labour day in Germany, Austria and some of the parts of Switzerland. In our part of the country (Hessia) we use it as a hiking trip combined with a lot of drinking. Many of our friends use to come home that day to meet at the Silbersee at nine a´clock in the morning to have their first drink. This year it seems to be my farewell tour. I never missed one of the last events for the last ten years. However, we managed to gather at least eight persons for May 1st. The good thing is that both of my brothers were able to attend the tour. We had many beers and especially fun. The final destination is a little village in the centre of nowhere serving as a melting pot for young and old.
